Eventually, baby is exactly one year old and two days. Therefore, he just turned one year last couple days. And guess what? We had a big party for him. It was huge preparation for the whole family. Besides that we had too many foods and visitors as well. Nice birthday gifts from family and friends. And eventually he just started saving money on his first piggy bank. The party went fabulous. The roasted pig was quickly gone. And delicious foods were great! The money that I’d spent was worth for my baby’s birthday party. The celebration was awesome plus, he truly enjoyed the company with the other babies. So far I got fifteen of this kind of food.

Snacks Time

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_zUKuLL03g5s/SIQqrSI6-hI/AAAAAAAAAUI/mrGHwOa-Q20/s320/camping+100.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5225348390748617234" />

After playing, the snacks time will follows. They were hungry and both babies were trying to help their selves. Just serve your own! But since Ashley is only seven months and can’t sit by herself yet so Mickael was trying to help her and fed her. As the picture will show you that they are both busy.

During this time, I found out that both of them got different characteristics. Not even close! Because when Mickael holds something or an object, he never put it directly into his mouth unless I said so. But every time Ashley picks up something, she always thinks of food so she’ll eat it with no hesitation. They definitely vary with everything from behavior and appetite.

Learning and Mental Development

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_zUKuLL03g5s/SIQlFi2vpEI/AAAAAAAAAT4/Fj7RwsROcDc/s320/camping+111.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5225342244842611778" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_zUKuLL03g5s/SIQj8aFawUI/AAAAAAAAATo/PAZ5jw7wPmQ/s320/camping+065.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5225340988357787970" />
Part of his growth is learning. I fed him with Filipino baby cereal and he really loves it. Actually, I had those baby cereal three months before my baby was born. And it came from Philippines which a good friend of mine brought it back here from her vacation.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_zUKuLL03g5s/SGcvleAMaiI/AAAAAAAAASo/6V_IjlY1p7o/s200/cerelac.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5217191014087551522" />

And I only had one dozen of fifty grams in each package. It wasn’t enough after all since my baby ate a lot three times a day. Eventually we run out of it, and we tried to switch to American baby cereal but unfortunately he didn’t like the taste of it. So my husband decided to purchase Filipino baby cereal through online and we got couple of 400 grams in a can. Basically same thing was happened; the cereal was gone so quick. So I finally ended up of feeding him with human foods. And I always considered cooking healthy meals for us because of “what mama’s food, baby eats”.

The New Stunt

Getting through from different development of my nine months old baby boy, he showed us different characteristics as well as stunts. Being away from him everyday, makes it hard for me to follow his new movements. Sometimes it will be just a surprised! Just like this afternoon, I just came home from work and go straight to play with my baby. We were playing and rolling on the carpet and he surprised me with his new stunt which was from crawling position to seat like a big boy. I was amazed how he learned that quickly. He definitely grows everyday and learn to explore something new. At his stage right now I think it is tough for me since pretty soon he will be standing all by himself and will start walking somewhere else. And the worrisome part is we live beside the road and he might unlock the door one day and start walking down the street with those cars.

Baby’s First Word

Eventually, the most awaited first word that will come out from his mouth was “Daddy!” It was couple days ago when he was trying to say something and all I’ve heard from his words was DADADADA… I was quite not happy because he needs to speak MAMA, but its kind a hard word for him I think since he started with DA! And this morning after I fed him, he was pissed off at me since it took me long to clean our dishes. And he wants his water right away. So while waiting on his high chair, he was just growling and talking. And finally I went to picked him up and I was shocked to hear him saying the word “DADDY” loud and clear enough. I couldn’t believe it because he is now a papa’s boy yet before he was a mama’s boy! And now when is he going to say mama? I was surprised how much he loves to eat rice, honestly much more than me. After his dinner I gave his bottle of water and he was just helping himself because I was busy of doing our dishes that time. And when I turned back I was just shocked and hurriedly took the camera and got his picture.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_zUKuLL03g5s/SF41aGT2YKI/AAAAAAAAASU/GpaA2cOqfaw/s200/new025.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5214664141028352162" />
I just love to know that this baby is a smart one like mommy. He was snoring when I left him on the bed. But of course surrounded by the big pillows just incase he’ll roll around. I’ve learned a lot since he fell off from the bed twice. Yes! Already twice; the first time was when I took my quick shower and I didn’t want him to be bored so I decided to turn on the TV so that he can watch his favorite cartoon show. So I left him on my king size bed to let him enjoyed the show. I walked in to the shower and it was about time to rinse my hair and suddenly I’d heard a big “BOOOOM”! I thought somebody slammed the door but it wasn’t. That “Boom” was followed by a thundered baby scream. OMG! I quickly jumped out from the shower and picked up my baby underneath the bed. I did felt my whole body was shaking. I checked my baby if he got bumped because there was a wooden part of the side on this bed. But he wasn’t. Thanks goodness, he is fine! And the second time and hopefully the last time, was at dawn time and I keep on getting up and started his milk. Probably the baby woke me up four times that night so I finally picked him out from his bed and put him on my side. I didn’t realize that he didn’t go back to sleep so just slept. And for a sudden he was just screaming like somebody cut his finger, and when I got up he was on the floor! It was definitely a heart attack moments for me…

It’s about Time!

Eventually I have enough time to think about on what to post in here. Actually I set aside this site for a certain reason. Reasons that this site will be a plain blog posting that will talks about my baby. And through this I can share his characteristics, appetite, actions and fun times. It’s about time for me to monitor and follow his growing period. And later on when he knows how to read, he can read all of these stuffs, things that happen to his daily life. And by the way, today is June 17, 2008 and three days to go and my baby will be nine months old. Based on my countdown there are three more months and three days to go and he will be a big boy, he will be one-year old this September. And so far, I am so excited for my baby’s first birthday. I am saving right now just for his big day. This baby always makes me happy especially when I felt down. I am lucky to have him and he always deserve for my affection.
